Once upon a time, September 29, 2012 to be exact, Megan Way
and Jeffrey Rudisill exchanged vows and rings at the beautiful Georgia Club
Wedding Pavilion. Wearing a dress rivaling
the elegance of Cinderella, Megan looked stunning in a strapless sweetheart
gown. With her makeup applied and her
hair pinned in perfect curls, nothing could outshine the smile on her
face. It was the day she would marry the love of her life.
Jeffrey and Megan met through a mutual friend, Kaleigh
Jenkins, back in high school. What
Kaleigh didn’t realize is that she would be the Maid of Honor at the pair’s
wedding nine years later! That’s right –
Megan and Jeffrey are nearing the decade mark in their relationship. Over the years they have grown up together
and grown closer together.
So in planning his proposal, Jeffrey left no stone unturned.
He guided Megan on a walking trail near
the apartment complex that they lived in.
One of their favorite local singers was playing his guitar by an
intimate alcove in the woods. Megan was
completely taken by surprise, and gave a resounding YES to Jeffrey’s special
question.
Their wedding was everything that they dreamt it would
be. Thanks to Nanci Altman with Atlanta
Wedding Florals, the ceremony and reception were filled with bright bursts of
purple blossoms. One of our favorite
touches was the centerpieces. Square
vases were filled with tall, twisting twigs adorned with strands of
crystals. The result was breathtaking.
The duo also added personal touches to the celebration
making it unique to them. For cards, a
white mailbox was set up with their last name and wedding date. Megan also painted signs to guide the guests
to the ceremony. For their party favors,
The Rudisills offered magnets and wine charms that were placed by each table
setting.
Megan and Jeffrey both
enjoyed cutting a rug to the music of Dawg Town Entertainment with their
guests. “We loved having both of our
families and friends together in one beautiful room celebrating such a special
point in our lives. It's a day we will
never forget!” With touching toasts by
Kaleigh Jenkins (Maid of Honor), Pat Marchio and Jeffrey Smith (Best Men), the
guests devoured the delicious cake from Memorable Creations. Let’s just say that the towering dessert
lived up to its name!
“Our favorite part of having
our wedding at The Georgia Club was definitely the service we received. I never felt a bit of stress because everyone
around me was so helpful and accommodating.
The grounds and ballroom are absolutely beautiful!” We also loved working with Megan and Jeffrey
and are glad that we could help make their day all the more special. We wish them a lifetime of happiness, and as
the sign reads: “Happily Ever After Starts Here.”
